We all need to live the wisdom of Indigenous values
Perennial wisdom from all of our original teachings
Love, gratitude and respect for all life
For all of our relations
We are all one and we are all unique
Cultural diversity is essential to the well being of Mother Earth
Learning to be yourself, as a member of a community, part of Mother Earth’s thriving dynamic, requires proper education.
The Akwesasne Freedon School immerses youth in their own Kanien’kehá:ka culture and teaches life skills. Graduates are empowered community members and this is good of all life on Mother Earth.
The school is crucial to Mohawk sovereignty and cultural continuance.
Come support the the Akwesasne Freedom School and participate in a beautiful event on August 10 at Opus 40 in Saugerties, NY.
Performers include the greats Valerie June and Theresa Bear Fox.
We are very blessed and so we have responsibilities to care for and support each other in creating positive futures.
Here is the event link for tickets, if you can’t make it in person, you can donate through the ticket link.
